Nelson Mandela at the Defiance Campaign Trial 1952
Nelson Mandela (centre) with ANC President, Dr J.S. Moroka (left) and President of the Indian National Congress, Yusuf Dadoo (right) helped organise the Defiance Campaign in 1952. Mandela wrote an article 'We Defy' in Drum in August 1952, explaining his struggle "...for freedom and national independance of the non-European people".
